Overview
The Chief Digital Information Officer (CDIO) of Adena Health (AH) will provide strategic leadership for the organization’s information technology vision, strategy, and infrastructure. Serving as the organization’s foremost authority on technology adoption and innovation, the CDIO will guide decisions that enhance clinical outcomes, elevate patient experience, and improve operational efficiency. This role oversees the development, implementation, and governance of policies and procedures for information technology, information security, and the management of clinical, financial, and other organizational data. The CDIO will lead the design, deployment, and optimization of information systems across the enterprise, with direct responsibility for Information Systems Applications, Infrastructure and Security, and Clinical Engineering. As a member of the Operating Committee, the CDIO will exercise appropriate fiduciary responsibility while upholding the Mission, Vision, and Values of Adena Health, maintaining the highest standards of personal and professional integrity.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, deployment, and optimization of information systems across the enterprise, with direct responsibility for Information Systems Applications, Infrastructure and Security, and Clinical Engineering.
- Guide decisions that enhance clinical outcomes, elevate patient experience, and improve operational efficiency; oversee the development, implementation, and governance of policies and procedures for information technology, information security, and data management.
- Collaborate as a member of the Operating Committee to uphold the Mission, Vision, and Values of Adena Health and maintain high standards of integrity.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years in a director-level leadership position within Information Systems, Information Management, or serving as a Chief Information Officer (CIO) in a healthcare environment, with demonstrated success in strategic planning, technology governance, and leading cross-functional teams to deliver enterprise-wide IT initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, clinical outcomes, and data security.
- Master’s degree in business, Finance, or a closely related field.
- Preferred professional credentials include CPHIMS (Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems), CHCIO (Certified Healthcare Chief Information Officer), Fellow of HIMSS (Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society), and Fellow of CHIME (College of Healthcare Information Management Executives).
