This product enables secure, scalable, and reusable solutions for multiple applications, eliminating the need for teams to reinvent the wheel. This is a hands-on backend engineering role focused on building new capabilities, enhancing existing features, and supporting development teams across the enterprise. The ideal candidate is a strong problem solver, thrives in a collaborative environment, and is eager to learn and adapt to new technologies. Responsibilities Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise-level software solutions Implement scalable backend services with a focus on security and performance Collaborate with engineering teams to introduce new product capabilities and support existing features Conduct rigorous unit testing and validation to ensure quality and reliability Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across cloud-based systems Provide input on architectural decisions and product scalability Contribute to documentation, specifications, and technical discussions Qualifications Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field 510+ years of software engineering experience (10 preferred, minimum 5 with strong aptitude) Strong proficiency in Java (primary language) Experience with AWS cloud environments (required) Knowledge of Node.js and/or Python (bonus) Strong foundation in computer science principles (data structures, algorithms, software design) Experience with enterprise-scale systems or cross-cutting products Quality-first mindset with experience in unit testing and validation Excellent problem-solving skills, adaptability, and ability to quickly learn new technologies Strong communication skills able to express ideas, provide feedback, and collaborate in a small team What Were Looking For Hands-on backend engineer with Java + AWS expertise Strong problem solver who thrives in a fast-moving, product-focused environment Adaptable and able to learn new technologies quickly Team player who contributes ideas, pushes back thoughtfully, and values quality engineering #DICE Seniority level Seniority level Mid-Senior level Employment type Employment type Contract Job function Job function Engineering and Information Technology Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at Tential Solutions by 2x Sign in to set job alerts for Software Engineer roles.
