Software Engineer Full Stack (Backend Focus)
Seed Stage Payments Start-Up
The Company:
Our client is a well-funded, seed-stage start-up aiming to transform the cross-border payments space. With a mission to modernize how money moves globally, theyre building the foundational infrastructure for faster, more efficient transactions.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop scalable backend systems and APIs to support high-throughput payment processing
Contribute across the stack as needed, with a focus on backend services and architecture
Collaborate with the founding team to define and evolve engineering best practices
Work closely with product and design to turn complex problems into elegant solutions
Help shape a modern codebase using tools like TypeScript, NestJS/Node, React, Postgres, AWS, and Docker
Prioritize reliability, security, and performance from day one
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience building robust backend or full stack systems in a production environment
High Energy individual
Solid understanding of API design, system architecture, and performance optimization
Comfortable contributing to frontend codebases using React, even if backend is your focus
Startup or fintech/payments experience is a plus
Motivated self-starter who thrives in fast-moving, ownership-driven environments
