Working Shop Foreman
to lead our skilled team of technicians while actively contributing to shop operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily shop operations, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to deadlines. Lead by example by performing hands-on repairs, particularly hydraulic cylinder disassembly, diagnostics, repair, and testing. Manage work orders, prioritize tasks, and track progress to meet customer expectations and company KPIs. Train, mentor, and support technicians to maintain high standards of quality and safety. Maintain an organized and clean shop environment, emphasizing attention to detail in all processes. Monitor inventory levels, order parts as needed, and minimize waste through effective resource management. Collaborate with management to analyze productivity data, identify areas for improvement, and implement process enhancements. Qualifications:
Proven experience in heavy equipment repair, with a strong focus on hydraulic systems. Prior leadership or supervisory experience in a shop setting. Strong mechanical aptitude with a hands-on approach to problem-solving. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to analyze and act on performance metrics to drive shop efficiency. Strong communication skills for team collaboration and customer interaction.
