Community Concepts is seeking a
Food Coordinator/Center Aide
to provide a complete nutritional program to children ages 0-5 following regulations and requirements, as well as supporting classrooms at our Fryeburg Early Learning Center. This position is 40 hours per week and is part year. Starting rate: $15.56-$16.61 This position is currently eligible for an additional monthly wage supplement through the State of Maine Early Childhood Educator Workforce Salary Supplement Program. The tiered supplements are currently in payments of $240, $360 or $540 monthly. Visit

Adhere to existing state health requirements in regards to food preparation, serving, storage, and kitchen cleanliness. Meet special dietary needs and make menu adjustments as appropriate. Purchase and prepare all food for the center. Work with staff and families to plan ethnic and developmentally appropriate nutritional activities for children that encourage diversity and healthy eating habits. Sharing the responsibility for proper care and cleanliness of the classroom and center Benefits:

Minimum of High School Diploma or G.E.D. Minimum of two years' experience as a cook preferred
Other Requirements:
Considerable stamina to regularly lift, bend, and carry; a valid driver's license; basic skills with Microsoft Office; ability to obtain and maintain current CPR and First Aid certifications. Pre-employment physical, SBI, DMV, Maine and National Sex Offender Registry, DHHS fingerprinting, fraud, and federal debarment background checks must be completed upon offer of hire and as a condition of employment; valid driver's license and travel within the service area is required.
