This position plays a key role in building and supporting a high-impact, data-driven platform used across the aviation industry. Essential Job Functions Of The Sr. Software Engineer Design and build backend components for a real-time aviation platform. Create, test, maintain, and debug high-quality code. Incrementally enhance and troubleshoot logic systems (approx. time: 50% development, 25% maintenance, 25% support). Collaborate closely with architects and other developers to drive product development. Engage in problem-solving and propose alternative technical solutions. Participate in informal technical assessments during interviews, such as "how would you solve this problem?" Required Experience Of The Sr. Software Engineer Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field with at least 5 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong experience building production systems using C++. Additional programming expertise in Python and Java. Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred, Oracle or similar acceptable). Familiarity with using open-source libraries and version control tools like Git. Knowledge of AWS cloud services, containerization, or Kubernetes is a plus. Experience with machine learning using Python and/or aerospace applications is highly desirable.
