Job Location: Washington, D.C. Schedule: This is a hybrid role, primarily working from home. This position is Eligible for a Sign-on Bonus and Relocation Assistance, if applicable. Overview Varada Consulting, LLC is seeking a full-time Sr. Software Engineer who is passionate about leading application development projects to support a mission-critical agency. Job Duties Provide software analysis, design, development, deployment and maintenance of custom applications using government prescribed software development methodologies. Provide support for, and technical review for potential integration of, systems, security, applications for portability, flexibility, and data exchange with disparate systems. Provide analysis in briefing, report or white paper. Assist with the integration of custom applications into multiple networks and domains, on and off premises, as provided by the ENC, resolve all incompatibilities and assist with any troubleshooting, customer requests so as to resolve all malfunctions and incompatibilities and ensure optimal performance and maintaining mandated security posture from ENC and other government guidance. Assist in development of the current application portfolio and future applications accessibility by mobile devices via cross platform solutions such as Xamerin or Cordova and all current generation web browsers. The web application is built on a .Net 4.5, JavaScript, Java, XML, AJAX, CSS, MS SQL, Visual studio, MS SharePoint, SQL Server Reporting Services, a REST web service while using the Cisco IP Phone Services SDK. Required Qualifications Ability to obtain a Security+ certification within 6 months of employment Deep understanding of Agile principals, SQL and related (i.e., C#) experience 6 years of experience designing applications using primarily .Net Bachelor's degree or 3 three years of relevant experience Experience architecting, troubleshooting, securing, and optimizing bastion forest domains Experience integrating custom applications across networks Experience supporting technical reviews to integrate systems, security, applications for portability, flexibility, and data exchange with disparate systems Experience With The Following Tech Stack .Net Web Forms and MVC web application development in C# Object Relational Mapping (ORM) frameworks such as Entity Framework Front End: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, Angular, and React Source Code, CI/CD: Team Foundation Server/Azure DevOps, Bitbucket, and GitHub Clearance Requirements Active Top Secret clearance/SCI with the ability to obtain and maintain Presidential Support Duty (PSD) approval (Yankee White) prior to employment Join an Award Winning Team!
