Position Description Were hiring a full-stack Senior Software Engineer to help launch our engineering teamshaping not only our tech stack, but also our product vision, team culture, and development practices. Youll build intuitive, reliable, and secure digital experiences that make it easier for families to care for their kids and for providers to deliver exceptional pediatric care. From mobile tools for parents to internal workflows for clinical teams to complex integrations with healthcare systems, your work will directly improve the lives of children across the country. Youll collaborate closely with product, design, and operations stakeholders, working across a modern stack that includes React, NextJS, TypeScript, Python, Django, and AWS. While you may lean front-end or back-end, you should feel confident navigating across the stack. This is a hybrid role with a team that meets at least once monthly at our office in Needham, MA. What Youll Do Build delightful, secure, and responsive web and mobile apps for families Help define what we buildyour input will influence priorities, UX, and technical direction Design and maintain internal tools that support providers and clinical staff Pioneer novel applications of generative AI to improve healthcare outcomes. Help establish engineering standards, workflows, testing practices, and documentation Write maintainable, tested, and well-documented code Integrate with healthcare data systems and APIs (e.g., FHIR, HIEs) Participate in sprint planning and Kanban flows Contribute to a collaborative and mission-driven engineering culture What Youll Need 5+ years of professional software engineering experience Professional experience building with ReactJS, Typescript, and Python-based web frameworks Familiarity with git, AWS, and CI/CD practices Experience working with APIs and data models, ideally in regulated environments Clear communication skills and strong collaboration habits Self-motivated, organized, and excited to help build a team and new products from the ground up Maintain U.S. residence and authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship Bonus Points Strong product mindset, with a focus on solving the right problems for patients and providers Background working in early-stage startups or fast-paced environments Experience with healthcare data models and standards (FHIR, HL7, HIEs) Experience with developing a React Native mobile app Familiarity with pediatric or family health applications What We Offer The opportunity to serve within a mission-driven pediatric care delivery organization.
