Your opportunity As a Software engineer within the Investments Equity, Diversified Alternative Investments and Financial Risk team you will join a development team responsible for delivering ongoing change to the suite of applications and systems comprising Janus Hendersons investment capabilities in risk and exposure analytics and reporting. Work closely with the Product Owners to understand development priorities and backlog items. Work closely with Architects and Tech Leads, ensuring that all solutions fit well within the strategic architectural vision. Performs hands-on development, adhering to the SDLC framework and practices at Janus Henderson Carry out additional duties as assigned. Strong understanding of Agile Scrum methodologies. Experience in working with big data technologies. Practical knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases. Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities. Effective communication and collaboration skills. Practical knowledge of Angular or Typescript Comprehensive understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and SOLID principles. Experience in microservices development and API creation. Proven ability to design and implement complex systems at scale. Demonstrated experience of Test-Driven Development (TDD) Nice to have skills Bachelors degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred. Experience with Snowflake and relevant certifications are advantageous. Experience with reporting tools such as Power BI Knowledge or experience in the Financial Services and Asset Management industry. Familiarity with investment risk systems, preferably MSCI Risk Metrics or MSCI Barra One. Experience working with geographically dispersed development teams. Compensation information The base salary range for this position is $125,000 - $137,000. This range is estimated for this role. Actual pay may be different. This role will remain open through April 30, 2025. Colorado law requires an estimated closing date for job postings. The profit pool is funded based on Company profits. Individual bonuses are determined based on Company, department, team and individual performance.
