Senior Software Engineer – Embedded Systems (Onsite in Santa Barbara, CA) We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead the development of embedded software systems. This hands-on role offers the opportunity to take technical ownership, drive architectural decisions, and influence the direction of a multidisciplinary engineering team. As a Key Contributor, You Will Design and implement robust, production-ready embedded software. Lead architecture and design efforts across the software stack. Integrate our products into complex, multi-system environments. Develop secure interfaces and support containerized deployments using Kubernetes. Contribute to cybersecurity compliance and ensure interoperability with external systems. You will serve as a technical authority within the project team, shaping software architecture and guiding best practices throughout the development lifecycle. This is a full-time, onsite position based in Santa Barbara, CA. Required Skills & Expertise Proficiency in C++, C, and Python Experience with Embedded Linux, RTOS, and bare-metal firmware Strong background in software architecture and system-level integration Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and secure software development Preferred Qualifications Experience with Yocto or Buildroot for embedded Linux build systems Hands-on knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD tools (e.g., GitLab CI, Kubernetes) Exposure to automated security testing tools (e.g., GitLab SAST, SonarQube) Understanding of software quality assurance and compliance standards Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $145000.00 - $200000.00/yr.
