OVERVIEW

The Grant Program Associate supports the full administration of ASPS/PSF's grants, scholarships, and awards programs. This includes managing application cycles, clarifying guidelines, reviewing and tracking submissions, coordinating reporting requirements, and ensuring timely data entry from start to finish. The role serves as a key liaison among grantees, research staff, and internal departments, and is responsible for maintaining reporting schedules, facilitating Study Section meetings, and drafting external communications about grant program activities. Strong communication, organizational skills, and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.

WHAT YOU WILL DO • Manage the end-to-end process for PSF grants, scholarships, and awards-from issuing calls for applications and reviewing submissions to coordinating funding decisions and tracking post-award deliverables. • Assign expert reviewers, organize Study Section meetings, and support the evaluation of funded research activities. • Set up and manage the proposalCENTRAL platform, ensure accurate data entry, and collaborate with Finance on payment tracking and reporting. • Offer technical guidance to applicants and awardees, including knowledge of NIH standards and funding compliance requirements. • Administer the Breast Reconstruction Awareness Fund Grant Program and related deliverables. • Assist in planning and delivering research workshops and mentoring sessions for applicants. • Draft external communications and update website content related to PSF research and grant programs. • Act as the primary staff contact for the Study Section and maintain strong relationships with external research and funding partners. • Manage project documentation, assist staff and physician leadership with reporting, and respond to internal and external inquiries.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

Education • Bachelor's degree preferred

Experience • Minimum of 3 years of successful project administration experience required • 1-3 years of experience in research grant administration preferred • Experience working on project teams with physicians preferred • Background in a health-related field is a plus

Skills and Abilities • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively • Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively • Familiarity with medical/scientific terminology preferred • Knowledge of NIH and other extramural funding agencies preferred • Proficiency in database management, internet research, and standard software applications (e.g., Microsoft Office)

$70,000-80,000
