Since 1985, Albuquerque Health Care for the Homeless has dedicated its mission exclusively to providing services to people experiencing homelessness. AHCH provides a distinctive continuum of integrated care through outreach and site-based services to address the health-related causes and consequences of homelessness. We are looking for a dependable and detail oriented custodial person to join our tight knit team. Our custodians are responsible for keeping our campus safe and clean. Our ideal candidate will be able to adapt easily and follow directions well. Prior experience in medical environments is a plus. We need a team player and someone who notices the small details. Duties and Responsibilities:

Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing or vacuuming them. Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment. Gather and empty trash. Trash pick-up around and outside building and in parking lots. Mix water and detergents to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications. Monitor building security and safety by locking doors after operating hours. Service, clean and supply restrooms and showers. Maintain supplies for all facilities (refill soap dispensers, paper towels, toilet paper, etc.) Steam clean or shampoo carpets. Wash windows. Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors. Operate cleaning equipment. Ice and snow removal when necessary. Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies either manually or by using hand trucks. Sterilize and disinfect treatment rooms. Paint walls or other structural surfaces. Repair lights and repair fixtures. Performs minor repairs to plumbing and fixtures as instructed by supervisor. Will comply with organization policies and procedures. Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED. General knowledge of basic building maintenance, janitorial supplies, and equipment Valid NM Driver's license with good driving record required for day shift custodian Preferred Qualifications

1-3 years of experience working in custodial field 1-3 years of experience operating floor scrubbing/polishing equipment Experience working in medical setting. Valid NM Driver's license preferred for swing/night shifts *This position is Monday - Friday 4pm - 8pm.
