Modernization and Capabilities Developer (Senior)

to join our team of professionals in support of the USMC MCICOM G-5 Directorate.

Essential Duties & Job Functions:

Provide outreach, collaboration, and coordination with other MCICOM directorates, MCICOM regional staffs, HQMC departments, Marine Forces Commands, operating forces commands, DON organizations, research and development entities, private industry, and academia. Identify new capabilities and developments in the open market, Marine Corps Warfighting Lab, and Marine Corps Systems Command that could transform Marine Corps installations and integrate new processes to maximize installation operations. Assist command-wide efforts to establish effective branding initiatives, publication support, and graphic designing. Assist with the development of interim guidance and policy as new capabilities are transitioned. Provide conference planning and meeting support. This will include pre-event planning, on-site coordination, and post-event activities for designated government, and inter-agency conferences, symposia, and workshops.

Pre-event planning will include, but is not limited to, approval packages, site selection and setup, development and distribution of announcements, creation of agenda and support material, and registration. On-site coordination will include, but is not limited to, attendee check-in, security problem resolution, document control, and administrative and logistics coordination with the host facility. Post-event efforts will include, but are not limited to, developing, and distributing conference/meeting proceedings and generation of an AAR following each event.

Conduct reviews and propose updates to applicable orders, directives and policies governing the program. Develop and refine briefings, documents, and staff packages in support of installation modernization and capabilities support. Develop and refine PLANORDs, OPORDs, and Letters of Instruction to implement installation modernization and support to new capabilities fielding. Develop and optimize tools for processing, analyzing, tracking modernization and capabilities development. Performs related work as assigned. Education: Bachelor's degree required

Degree concentration preference is engineering, community planning, or facility management If degree is not in the concentration above, then 10 years of experience as an analyst or program manager at the Service Component Headquarters or DoD Level may be used in exchange for the concentration.

Experience:

minimum of 10 years of experience in force deployment coordination, or related military operations. Must have familiarization with other Marine Corps, DoD and Service Component working groups and programs to ensure deconfliction and synchronization with MCICOM strategic and operational installation and facility planning and decision-making processes. Knowledge of and experience using MS Office software. Must have strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Prior experience working military basing programs preferred. Project Management Professional certification preferred. Knowledge of DoD and USMC planning directives and tools is preferred.

Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance; active DoD clearance highly desired
