The Postal Services Student worker performs tasks essential to the completion of University inbound mail sorting and delivering. The student worker must be able to help in areas where needed. This may include processing outgoing packages and cash handling.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
1. Assist in the sorting of all incoming student and employee mail.
2. Assist in the sorting of all incoming student and employee packages.
3. Processing pre-paid outgoing packages.
4. Deliver student packages and letter mail.
5. Provide students with mailbox combinations or keys.
6. Ensure accuracy and quality of sorted and delivered mail.
7. Process outgoing packages.
8. Accept Flames Cash, credit cards and handle cash.
9. Assist with other LU Postal Service operations as needed.

Qualifications, Credentials, and Competencies
1. Must qualify for the federal work study program.
2. Well- developed communications skills.
3. Knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
4. Knowledge of the United State Postal Service, UPS and FedEx.
5. Ability to lift 50 lbs.
6. High school diploma required.
7. Knowledge of Liberty University.
8. Must be able to function in a fast paced environment.
