The Department of Corrections is looking for a detailed Human Resource Assistant 1 to join our Field HR Office team! DESCRIPTION OF WORK The Human Resource Assistant 1 performs para-professional technical duties associated with several HR program areas including, but are not limited to, recruitment and labor management. With our team, you will coordinate recruitment, placement, and filling of approved vacancies by maintaining a detailed log on the status of all vacancies; communicating with managers and new hires to facilitate scheduling, onboarding, and related processes; and assisting with onsite and offsite recruitment events and activities. This is accomplished through face-to-face interactions, completing forms and submitting requests through our internal system, telephone calls, and written correspondence. You will also be responsible for monitoring our employee performance review processes for accuracy and timeliness, typing and distributing monthly minutes for labor management meetings between our office and union representatives, and performing a variety of other standard and miscellaneous clerical functions. Our team will rely on you to work with considerable independence, within established procedures, and collaborate with HR Analysts to complete special projects, perform new or unusually technical assignments, and respond to new or unusual circumstances. Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Telework:

You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to one day per week, after successful completion of the six month probationary period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Collegeville. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. One year of clerical or other comparable experience which involved obtaining, providing, and evaluating information in accordance with established standards;
