Job Summary
Sigma Inc. is seeking an experienced
Maintenance Technician III
to join our team in
Athens, GA . This position plays a critical role in maintaining and optimizing the operation of
infrastructure and clean utility systems
in a
GMP-regulated
environment. The ideal candidate will have advanced skills in
HVAC, plumbing, electrical, cold storage, water systems , and general mechanical systems.
Key Responsibilities Perform
routine and complex maintenance
on systems including: HVAC Electrical & mechanical systems Plumbing Clean steam and compressed air High-purity water and clean utilities Cold storage and fire protection systems
Conduct
preventive maintenance (PM)
and inspections to ensure regulatory compliance and equipment reliability. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with utility and process systems. Maintain documentation in compliance with
GMP, FDA, EU , and
GxP
guidelines. Interpret and review system drawings, P&IDs, and blueprints. Collaborate with team members, vendors, and stakeholders to complete tasks and projects efficiently. Manage and maintain an accurate
spare parts inventory . Participate in emergency maintenance activities and resolve issues promptly to minimize downtime. • Qualifications
High School Diploma
or equivalent (Required) Technical certification
in HVAC, electrical, or facilities maintenance (Preferred) 5+ years of experience
in at least two of the following areas: Electrician work HVAC systems Mechanical systems Cold storage Water purification and clean utility systems
Working knowledge of
national building codes ,
OSHA standards , and
GMP/GxP regulations Proficient in troubleshooting and diagnostics for facility systems. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Agile learner with a proactive mindset toward continuous improvement. Skills & Competencies
