About the Role:

The Maintenance Clerk plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of manufacturing processes by maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities and inventory. This position is responsible for coordinating maintenance schedules, tracking equipment repairs, and managing parts inventory to minimize downtime. The ideal candidate will work closely with maintenance technicians and management to prioritize tasks and ensure compliance with safety regulations. By effectively managing documentation and communication, the Maintenance Clerk contributes to the overall efficiency and productivity of the manufacturing facility. Ultimately, this role supports the organization's commitment to quality and operational excellence. This role operates in a manufacturing facility with exposure to moving equipment, loud noise, and industrial conditions.

Job Responsibilities: Demonstrate safety as a core value and establish a safe work environment by actively leading the safe execution of work. Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance schedules. Coordinate with maintenance staff to prioritize and schedule maintenance tasks based on production needs. Manage inventory of maintenance parts and supplies, ensuring timely ordering and availability of necessary materials. Assist in the preparation of reports related to maintenance activities and equipment performance. Communicate effectively with team members and management to provide updates on maintenance status and any issues that arise. Required Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in a storeroom, warehouse, or inventory control environment preferred. Basic computer skills; experience with inventory management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar) is a plus. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to lift and move materials (up to 50 lbs) as needed. Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment. Understanding of safety practices in an industrial setting. Preferred Experience:

Associate degree in business administration or a related field. Familiarity with maintenance management software or systems. Experience in inventory management or procurement processes. Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift. Ability to operate material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts) if required and certified. Skills:

The required skills for this position include strong organizational abilities, which are essential for maintaining accurate records and managing schedules effectively. Attention to detail is critical in ensuring that all maintenance activities are documented correctly and that inventory levels are monitored. Communication skills are utilized daily to liaise with maintenance staff and management, ensuring that everyone is informed about maintenance priorities and statuses. Familiarity with software tools enhances the ability to track maintenance activities and generate reports efficiently. Preferred skills, such as experience with inventory management systems, can significantly streamline the ordering process and improve overall operational efficiency.
