Job Description Superlanet is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer for our healthcare client in Texas. This is a direct hire - hybrid position. The Senior Cloud Engineer serves as the technical lead for cloud architecture and automation across the healthcare system. This role designs, builds, and optimizes scalable Azure-based environments to support both clinical and enterprise workloads. Leveraging Azure and Terraform, the Senior Cloud Engineer develops secure, compliant, and automated cloud-native and hybrid infrastructures that meet stringent healthcare regulatory standards. The position partners with cross-functional teams to drive infrastructure modernization, support Epic and third-party application hosting, and ensure operational readiness for hospital systems.

Responsibilities Cloud Architecture & Engineering Lead the design, deployment, and optimization of Azure environments (compute, storage, networking, identity, backup). Architect hybrid connectivity using VPN, ExpressRoute, and virtual WAN technologies. Implement governance, cost management, and policy enforcement with Azure Policies, Blueprints, and Management Groups. Design scalable virtual infrastructure for Epic integration, third-party healthcare systems, and enterprise services. Develop BCDR strategies using Azure Backup, Site Recovery, and Zerto. Infrastructure as Code (IaC) & Automation Build and manage Azure environments with Terraform and GitOps methodologies. Develop modular Terraform templates and CI/CD pipelines for rapid provisioning. Automate operational tasks with PowerShell, Bash, or Python, along with Azure Automation or Logic Apps. Integrate provisioning workflows and change control with ServiceNow. Security, Compliance & Monitoring Partner with Security and IAM teams to implement Zero Trust, least privilege, and conditional access. Manage identity with Azure AD, Managed Identities, and RBAC. Ensure HIPAA compliance through logging, encryption, and secure connectivity. Deploy and maintain observability tools (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Defender for Cloud) to uphold SLAs. Collaboration & Project Delivery Lead cloud readiness assessments, vendor deployments, and system integrations. Collaborate with Epic, network, and infrastructure teams for secure, high-performance connectivity. Produce detailed documentation, runbooks, and knowledge articles. Mentor junior engineers and foster innovation and service excellence. Marginal / Periodic Functions Research and evaluate emerging cloud technologies. Participate in on-call rotations and incident response. Deliver internal training and knowledge-sharing sessions. Support audits, compliance reviews, and vendor evaluations. Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). 5+ years in infrastructure or cloud engineering, with at least 3 years focused on Azure. Expert-level knowledge of Azure compute, networking, storage, and identity services. Proven experience with Terraform, Azure DevOps/GitHub Actions, and IaC methodologies. Strong scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash, or Python. Demonstrated ability to design/document enterprise cloud architectures in regulated industries. Preferred

Experience supporting Epic or other healthcare clinical systems in Azure. Knowledge of third-party healthcare integrations (Imprivata, PACS, imaging, etc.). Familiarity with Defender for Cloud, Sentinel, and Azure Policy. Experience integrating Azure infrastructure with ServiceNow. Understanding of ITIL-based operational frameworks. Azure certifications (AZ-104, AZ-305, AZ-400, or equivalent).
