09/07/2026 Job Summary: Join a leading engineering and project delivery firm supporting a major
natural gas liquefaction and export terminal . As an Inventory Specialist - Steel, you will oversee material receipt, documentation, and storage operations that support construction success on a global-impact energy project.
Key Responsibilities:
Direct the physical count and inspection of arriving materials Oversee review of receiving documents including commercial invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading Audit and validate Material Receiving Reports (MRRs) for accuracy and completeness Maintain accuracy in BPS data through continuous audits and reporting Document and escalate overages, shortages, and damaged material (UOS&D) Coordinate corrective actions and ensure permanent records for discrepancies Supervise correct material storage per project procurement plans Track storage locations via manual or automated systems Dispose of surplus project materials as directed by management Manage shipping documentation for off-site materials Administer the tool crib inventory system on site Oversee physical inventory activities to maintain valid stock records Support project materials protection programs and retain custody of project items Guide and train Inventory Specialists on project procedures and documentation standards Maintain control registers for industrial gas bottles and returnable containers Prepare and manage inspection reports and construction equipment registers Required Experience:
6-9 years of relevant construction materials or inventory experience, or Bachelor's degree with 2-5 years of experience in a related field Required Skills:
Construction materials management Receiving and inspection procedures BPS or similar material management systems Preferred Skills:
Tool crib or inventory control systems Surplus material coordination Documentation and discrepancy resolution On-site service contractor management Min-Max inventory techniques Additional Skills from Original Description:
