We are seeking a highly skilled
SQL Developer with strong expertise in Snowflake
to join our team supporting DTCC in New Jersey. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in database development, data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and performance tuning, with a primary focus on
Snowflake Data Cloud . This role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders, data engineers, and BI teams to deliver scalable and efficient data solutions. Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, and data pipelines in
Snowflake .
Build and optimize
ETL/ELT workflows
for data ingestion, transformation, and integration.
Develop and maintain
data models, schemas, and views
to support analytics and reporting needs.
Implement best practices for
performance tuning
and
query optimization
in Snowflake.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Ensure data quality, security, and compliance with DTCC standards.
Work on migration of existing data structures and processes from traditional databases to Snowflake.
Create and maintain
technical documentation
for database processes and solutions. Required Skills & Experience:
5+ years of experience as an
SQL Developer / Database Developer .
Strong expertise in
Snowflake Data Warehouse
development.
Proficiency in
advanced SQL programming
(queries, joins, indexing, stored procedures, functions).
Hands-on experience with
ETL/ELT tools
(Informatica, Talend, dbt, or equivalent).
Experience with
data modeling
and
schema design
(Star, Snowflake schema).
Knowledge of
cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
in relation to Snowflake.
Experience with
performance tuning and query optimization .
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Nice to Have:
Experience in
financial services or capital markets
domain.
Familiarity with
Python, Spark, or other scripting languages
for data transformation.
Exposure to
reporting/BI tools
(Power BI, Tableau, Qlik).
Knowledge of
data governance and security practices .
