Since 1955, Fenton High School District 100 has offered a comprehensive educational program to students in grades 9-12 who live within the Chicago, Illinois, western suburbs of Bensenville, Wood Dale, and a small portion of Addison.

With a vibrant student enrollment of approximately 1,400 students, Fenton offers a unique combination of a suburban school education within a personalized, small-school environment. Curriculum offerings, career pathways, and STEM are continually being assessed and updated to meet the ever-changing needs and demands of its students. As a complement to a highly skilled educational staff, students are exposed to a variety of state-of-the-art facilities, including a newly designed space to support STEM, CTE and business and liberal arts programming.

The ideal candidate will have a distinguished history of attainment in improving student outcomes, a collaborative approach to leadership, and the skills to engage with a valued community, dedicated staff, and a supportive Board of Education.

Qualifications Illinois Professional Educator License with Superintendent and General Administrative/Principal Endorsements or evidence to obtain by July 1, 2026; Executive knowledge in secondary educational programming, with proven success in STEM and Career and Technical Education programs, astute business operations, human resources and building maintenance management skills; Superior oral and written communication skills; A proven strategic and visionary secondary education leader; and Demonstrated executive presence, leadership, collaborative team builder, and Board relations. Preferred Qualification(s)

Doctoral Degree; Superintendent experience preferred Professional experience with a similar school community profile.

Duties

The full-time Superintendent's office is located within Fenton High School and reports to the Fenton High School District 100 Board of Education and serves as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the District, overseeing all aspects of its operations from academic performance and budget management to community engagement, facility maintenance, and policy implementation. The Superintendent shall ensure a high-quality education for students for all students.

Compensation and Benefits

A regionally competitive compensation package of a minimum of $225,000, commensurate with education and comparable experience.
