Polk Mechanical is seeking a skilled Sheetmetal Superintendent with expertise in ductwork, fabrication, and installation. Strong leadership required.

The ideal candidate for this position will be goal-oriented, ambitious, driven, and highly motivated with the knowledge and skills necessary to supervise the installation of pipefitting projects ranging from $250,000 to $8,000,000.

Position Summary

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Sheetmetal Superintendent to oversee the installation of Sheetmetal projects ranging from $250,000 to $10 million. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, a natural leader, and have a deep understanding of Sheetmetal systems and project coordination.

Key Responsibilities

Direct and supervise Sheetmetal foremen, journeymen, and apprentices, providing clear direction, mentorship, and performance feedback. Foster a positive and productive team environment focused on safety and quality. Develop and maintain project schedules specifically for Sheetmetal work, ensuring efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks. Proactively identify and address potential delays. Monitor project costs related to Sheetmetal installation and ensure work is performed within budget. Identify and implement cost-saving measures where possible. Maintain effective communication with project managers, general contractors, other trades, and clients regarding Sheetmetal aspects of the project. Participate in project meetings as required. Requirements

Minimum 8years of verifiable experience in the sheet metal/piping trade In-depth knowledge of Sheetmetal systems, blueprints, specifications, and codes Understanding of related trades and coordination with other craft disciplines Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple teams and project schedules Proven ability to meet deadlines and deliver results Must have a valid driver's license Benefits
