Director of Production

will support all sourcing and product-execution related responsibilities for Savage X Fenty categories. The ideal candidate is responsible, takes accountability, detail-oriented, hardworking, and can multi-task in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be able to work well within a team environment but is a self-motivator who can work independently. This position will report to the

Vice President of Product Creation. What You Will Do: Collaborate with Design and Product Development at all stages of development process: raw material and construction development proto and production fittings, cost strategy, execution. Make necessary recommendations for quality improvement.

Partner with Product development and Design to maintain and create consistent and superior fit.

Create opportunities with Design and Product Development to engineer product cost while ensuring quality and maintaining design intent. Provide the team with all cost targets and align on seasonal cost and allocation strategy.

Develop and maintain strong cross-functional relationships with Design, Merchandising, External Vendors, and Production to lead brand growth strategies.

Oversee internal teams’ calendar to ensure all deadlines and key deliverables are met.

Responsible for overseeing production schedule and make sure PO’s are meeting ex-factory dates.

Mentor, coach and develop career path for direct reports

Plan teams’ capacity and identify opportunities for processes ‘improvement and additional resources

Reporting as needed: Production progress, delivery status etc.

Responsible for overseeing production schedule and make sure PO’s are meeting ex-factory dates.

Responsible for overseeing the shipping, import of goods with third party vendors.

Partner with the QA team in the approval of TOP samples ensuring integrity of design, fit and quality execution throughout manufacturing.

What You Can Bring: 10 years minimum experience in apparel production or manufacturing

Understanding of intimates construction as well as technical knowledge of active wear production is a plus

Excellent understanding of the product life cycle

Experience with sourcing both through agents and direct-to-factory overseas

Solid understanding of the marketplace and external industry and global factors

Must be proactive and possess the ability to meet tight deadlines

Detail-minded, hardworking and willing to take up challenges with an innovative mindset.

Excellent interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills, strong sense of team spirit and responsibility

A people leader and experience with managing a team

Excellent communication skills – verbal, written, and presentation
