SUMMARY:

A Database Administrator (DBA) is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure, high-performance database systems that support business operations. Ensure data integrity, availability, and scalability while managing backups, recovery, user access, and system optimization. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to understand data requirements and develop solutions.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Design, install, configure, and maintain database systems Monitor database performance and implement tuning strategies for optimization Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with internal and external standards Perform regular backups and recovery procedures to safeguard data Manage user access, roles, and permissions Collaborate with developers and IT teams to support application integration Document database configurations, procedures, and policies. Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field Minimum of 5 years of experience as a database administrator. Strong knowledge of database structures, theories, principles, and practices. Familiarity with backup and recovery tools, performance tuning, and monitoring utilities Understanding of data privacy and protection regulations
