Essential Functions:

This position is responsible for:

· Approaching work with a Continuous Improvement (CI) mindset, and engaging in Producers Dairy Mission Statement to identify, value, prioritize, resource and sustain improvement opportunities.

· Conforms to and has department conform to Producers quality standards.

· Updates and monitors a preventative maintenance program for the Fairfield plant facility.

· Helps relieve and cover maintenance department vacations to minimize overtime costs.

· Coordinates the day-to-day preventative maintenance requirements and must have proficiency in all maintenance jobs.

· Through a parts clerk, establishes parts ordering requirements to ensure that adequate supplies of appropriate spare parts are kept in stock.

· Assists in troubleshooting as needed on plant equipment.

· Performs needed repairs when required. Researches, suggests, and implements system upgrades.

· Ability to identify and describe each component of the HTST system.

· Demonstrate basic ARC and TIG welding skills.

· Demonstrate proficient use of Volt/Ohm meter.

· Ability to identify chains, sprockets and bearings.

· Demonstrate cute and glue PVC pipe and identify pipe fittings.

· Analyzes and repairs specialized equipment heavily dependent on electrical controls, microprocessors controls, electro-mechanical mechanisms, and related components under general direction.

· Maintains a working understanding of plant production processes, equipment systems and facilities, in order to perform maintenance effectively under general directions.

· Has sufficient knowledge to be able to operate equipment for diagnostic and break relief as required.

· Performs all work in a safe and professional manner and reports safety deficiencies immediately.

· Orders parts and materials as required for assigned tasks.

· Maintains professional and appropriate dress, hygiene and personal appearance.

· Accountable to the GMP Food Safety and Quality Principles

Wage Range: $44.50 - $49.50
