Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated Finance Data Analyst with 1-3 years of experience to join our Finance team. The analyst will focus on financial reporting, data analysis, and supporting budgeting and forecasting initiatives. Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare recurring financial and KPI reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Assist with monthly variance analysis, highlighting trends and key business drivers.
- Support development of dashboards and reporting tools (Excel, Tableau, or similar) for finance leadership.
- Budgeting & Forecasting Support
- Assist in maintaining financial models for annual budgets and rolling forecasts.
- Gather and validate data inputs from cross-functional teams (Sales, Operations, Marketing).
- Provide supporting analysis for revenue, expenses, and headcount planning.
- Extract, clean, and analyze data from finance systems (NetSuite, Salesforce, Tableau, Vena).
- Help improve efficiency in reporting through automation and process documentation.
- Support reconciliations and data checks in coordination with the accounting team.
- Collaborate with finance and business leaders to answer ad hoc data questions.
- Translate financial and operational data into insights that guide business decisions.
- Provide analytical support for finance-led initiatives such as profitability analysis, ROI evaluations, and expense tracking.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Analytics, Statistics or related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in finance, FP&A, or data analysis (internships and co-op experience considered).
- Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, power query, lookups, data visualization).
- Exposure to financial systems (NetSuite, Vena, Adaptive Insights, or similar) preferred.
- Experience with BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, or similar) a plus.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communicator, able to explain financial results to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
- Highly organized and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
