BUS AIDE
QUALIFICATIONS Ability to read and write. Good physical health and ability to perform assigned duties. Knowledge of bus passenger safety and effective discipline procedures. Successful screening through the district's personnel employment process. REPORTS TO: Transportation Supervisor
JOB GOAL: To assist the bus driver in providing safe transportation for the students.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist the bus driver in maintaining student conduct on the bus. Assist young or disabled students in getting on and off the bus. Provide written records of violations of student code to the building principal. Collect personal items left on the bus and turn them over to the school office. Provide instruction to students regarding passenger safety and ensure that students wear their seat belts when the bus is so equipped.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
: 10 Months
VACATION
: There is no vacation time allotted to this position.
EVALUATION
: Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Personnel.
