Spirit Mountain is hiring for the winter ski season and is looking for a vibrant and energetic individual to join our team as a Host/Hostess. This is a fun and dynamic role in a lively setting, where you'll be the first point of contact for guests at our bars and restaurants. As a Host/Hostess, you'll play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring smooth seating and service operations. If you enjoy working with people and thrive in a team-oriented environment, this is the perfect opportunity for you!
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Create a positive guest experience by warmly greeting guests upon arrival and ensuring they are promptly seated. Manage reservations and guide guests to their tables efficiently. Provide accurate wait time estimates and manage the flow of the waiting area. Distribute menus and address initial guest inquiries with professionalism and a friendly demeanor. Optimize seating to ensure an even workload for servers, contributing to smooth service. Handle phone calls for reservations, inquiries, and takeout orders as needed. Assist servers when necessary to ensure seamless service, such as refilling drinks or clearing tables. Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be at least 16 years old. Flexible schedule, including availability for weekends, evenings, and holidays. Strong communication skills and a positive, welcoming attitude. Proficiency with computers and phones for managing reservations and inquiries. Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment. Physical Requirements:
Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time. Ability to lift up to 30 pounds when assisting with clearing tables or setting up seating areas.
