Mechanical Maintenance Technician Job Tasks
Operate and monitor mechanical devices to identify performance issues and troubleshoot problem s . Disassemble equipment to access and remove defective components. Inspect used parts to assess wear and determine dimensional changes. Adjust functional components and control instruments to maintain proper operation. Repair or replace damaged or defective parts as needed. Install specialized functional and structural components in equipment. Lubricate, clean, and maintain equipment parts to extend service life. Conduct performance tests to verify repairs and adjustments. Assist in diagnosing and replacing faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components. Support maintenance planning by organizing documentation, ordering parts, and scheduling preventive maintenance. Communicate maintenance concerns to Production Supervisors for coordination with other shifts. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the general work area. Follow all operational safety procedures, including lock-out/tag-out protocols. Perform additional duties as required to support safe and efficient operations.
