Executive Summary:
We are looking for Financial Manager III to fill the position at Hanscom Air Force Base (AFB) in Bedford, MA. The Financial Manager will assist in the planning, analysis, execution, and reporting of financial and budgetary requirements across multiple acquisition programs. This role requires hands-on experience with DoD acquisition policies, financial systems, and budget formulation processes to ensure program efficiency and compliance.
The ideal candidate will have an active Top Secret Security Clearance and have strong expertise in financial data analysis, along with a solid understanding of DoD acquisition requirements, development, and approval processes, as well as DoD contracting types, contract structures, CLIN financing, and funding clauses.
Responsibilities:
ssist, prepare, develop, and deliver acquisition-related financial management support in accordance with AF and DoD comptroller policy. Provide financial management expertise across the acquisition life cycle, including pre-engineering development, engineering development, testing, fielding, and sustainment. pply knowledge of financial management and accounting functions to gather, evaluate, and present information for program managers and customers. Support program budgets, financial reports, and documentation; recommend solutions for funding or budgeting challenges. Perform budget forecasting, variance analysis, financial execution reporting, schedule analysis, and earned value management (EVM) reviews. Identify accounting discrepancies and take corrective actions. Use automated financial management systems to conduct fact-finding, data analysis, and advisory functions. Provide recommendations to program offices regarding budget, schedule, and EVM performance. Other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications:
