To provide a clean, sanitary, and safe learning environment for students and staff. Maintain the appearance of school grounds and sports fields. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Perform thorough cleaning of classrooms, hallways, restrooms, and building administration areas. Tasks include vacuuming, mopping, dusting, sanitizing, and cleaning of chalkboards. Set up and teardown of cafeteria tables along with daily floor cleaning after lunch periods have ended. Daily removal of trash throughout the building. Replenishing of supplies such as hand soap, paper towels, and toilet paper. Assist with traffic control during student arrival and dismissal if required. Set up and teardown for special events and athletic use of our facilities. Assist with building administration staff requests. Maintain athletic facility equipment rooms and restrooms (High School Fieldhouse location only). Reports all safety and maintenance issues to the Director of Buildings And Grounds or building administration staff. Maintenance of district grounds to include: Occasional tree removal, pruning, mowing, trimming, aerating, fertilizing, seeding, grading, rolling, mulching, grooming and lining of athletic fields. Maintain storm waterways, fences, gates, playground equipment, bleachers, and district signage. Maintenance of parking lots, driveways, sidewalks, stairs, and handrails including picking up trash and emptying of trash cans. Salts, plows, and shovels snow during winter months and are available for snow removal outside of scheduled hours. Perform basic electrical, mechanical, carpentry, plumbing and masonry tasks. Responds to emergency situations, vandalism, power failures, storm damage and pipe failures. Delivery of copy work, equipment, and supplies to and from district buildings. Performs other duties as assigned. Performs in accordance with school policy, administrative regulations, state and federal laws. QUALIFICATIONS
