Centurion is proud to be the provider of medical and mental health services to the Illinois Department of Corrections.
We are currently seeking a full-time IT Manager to support our state correctional facilities across the state of Illinois . Salary starting at $95,000, depending on years of experience.
Based out of the regional office in Springfield, IL, the IT Manager provides leadership and supervises all aspects of IT operational support for Centurion's contract with the Illinois Department of Corrections to include technical support of Centurion network & endpoints, project management, security remediation, telehealth support, and management of IT resource(s). Acts as a liaison between Centurion IT and IDOC. Collaborates closely with senior leadership and department heads where needed to support all IT needs for the Centurion Illinois contract. Maintain regular communication with program staff, clients, and corporate IT leadership to ensure alignment on priorities and initiatives. Serve as the technical lead for new IT technology initiatives and implementations within the Illinois contract. Assist in analyzing long-term IT and business needs and provide technical recommendations to support organizational goals. Support the design, implementation, maintenance, and monitoring of network infrastructure, telehealth technologies, file/print services, and end-user provisioning where needed. Mentor and manage direct reports, ensuring that project timelines and daily task schedules are maintained. Support the data analytics and EMR (Electronic Medical Record) teams as needed, including collaborating with corporate and contract EHR teams to maintain and enhance EHR services. Lead and participate in the design, maintenance, analysis, and implementation of Centurion IT-related solutions. Install, configure, fine-tune, troubleshoot, and administer all supported systems and platforms. Communicate technical information clearly, both orally and in writing, to a variety of stakeholders. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with end users, vendors, & internal teams. Manage resolution of technical issues and assist others with complex problem solving. Define user needs, evaluate alternatives, and recommend appropriate solutions. Manage workflow and process documentation, including new hire onboarding, hardware deployment, and inventory tracking. Provide weekly updates on project status and key support issues to leadership. Ensure compliance with Corporate IT and EMR policies and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline such as Computer Science, Information Services, or related field Preferred Certifications: A/Network/Security+, Microsoft MCSA. ITIL exposure. Four to six years of systems administration and network management experience. Extensive knowledge and experience of Microsoft Windows Desktop and server OS, along with computer hardware and software installation, testing, and operations Sufficient understanding of networking technologies and principles including TCP/IP, firewalls, DNS, VPN, IP Telephony, Wireless, Switching & Routing, SAN technologies, and Virtualization Experience in EHR/EMR systems and Telehealth operations.is preferred Strong interpersonal and communications skills; acting as a vendor liaison, making presentations to client audiences or professional peers, and working closely with upper management. Ability to maintain emotions and professional communications in high stress moments. Ability to solve problems quickly and automate processes.
