Quality Control Manager and Certfied Welding Inspector (CWI)
to join their growing team in Caldwell for an in shop position. They are looking for someone who has a background in manufacturing and structural steel fabrication. An excellent company that delivers the highest quality projects across a wide variety of sectors and will be perfect for a seasoned
QC Manager and CWI . Prefer previous experience in construction, rail, highway, industrial, electrical or utility industries.
QUALIFICATIONS for QC Manager and CWI Must be a CWI (Certified Welding Inspector) 5+ years structural steel fabrication industry experience, preferably with a portion of that time spent in an inspection role An in depth ability to read and understand shop drawings, especially weld symbols Basic knowledge of ASIC and AWS national codes, must possess a strong attention to detail Strong Understanding of Quality Management Systems Extensive Knowledge of Welding Processes, Techniques & Standard RESPONSIBILITIES for QC Manager and CWI
Has overall responsibility for performing the visual inspection of welded joints at the assigned plant Ensure that the fabricated steel is welded as planned, meets customer specifications, and inspections are completed as required to support workflow and sequence Reports and maintains inspection results, prepares documentation required by the customer for certification that all quality procedures were followed Performs in-process weld inspections on heavy structural steel welded assemblies Reads new project specifications Interprets drawings, customer specifications and standards of moderate complexity Assists in identifying and solving quality non-conformances in a timely and cost-effective manner Assists shop employees with questions and clarifications on QC issues as needed COMPENSATION for QC Manager and CWI
