Under the direction of the Supervisor, Beverage, the Beverage Cart Server is responsible for providing friendly guest service in an efficient manner and high-volume capacity. While adhering to the Yaamava' Brand Standards, this position is responsible for promoting and selling our range of delicious snacks to retail stores and other potential guests. This position includes providing assigned beverage and snack service to guests on the Casino first and second floors and throughout the Casino & Resort.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Assigned daily to a specific area within the Casino & Resort, the Beverage Cart Server operates the cart in the designated area. Designated areas can be inclusive of, but not limited to, Casino first and second floors, fill positions, as well as breakers. 2. Maneuvers the beverage cart throughout the assigned section, hospitably promoting and selling snack and beverage products, and responding to requests positively, promptly, and efficiently. 3. Is responsible for supporting the Beverage Utility Clerks in keeping the "filling" stations clean and organized with necessary items for cart service. Supports the team by replenishing carts with sufficient amount of items served on the casino floor, when assigned to "fill hour". The server who has the "fill" station for the last hour of the shift must fill and prepare carts for the oncoming shift. The number of carts prepared will depend on the shift and volume of business. 4. Is responsible for overall cleanliness, organization, and preparedness of immediate workspace and adjacent areas. Ensures a clean, sanitary and thoroughly stocked cart and check-out area. Washes and sanitizes the cart, and fully cleans and stocks the fill station if cart service will not be utilized during the next shift. 5. Learns and understands the fundamentals of the Point of Sale (POS) system. Is responsible for keeping a detailed account of all items given to patrons throughout the shift and ensuring price accuracy at checkout. Ensures all items purchased, returned or exchanged are entered accurately into the POS System. Adheres to all cash handling procedures, including balancing of cash register, purchase records, cash handling, tip policies and practices, as established by the department. 6. Notifies immediate supervisor of any problems that occur, including reporting of any patron who appears to be intoxicated or under the age of 21. 7. Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department.
EDUCATIONAL, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
Minimum of three (3) months of industry-related experience required.
Minimum of one (1) year of industry-related experience preferred.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSA)
Must be able to read, write and communicate in the English language.
Must be able to perform simple mathematical operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
Must be able to manage cash transactions accurately and securely.
Must be able to provide friendly and efficient service to guests and team members, addressing their needs and resolving issues.
Must be able to have clear and effective communication with guests and team members.
Must be able to work under pressure by staying calm and efficient during busy period(s).
LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS AND REGISTRATIONS
At the discretion of the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission, you may be required to obtain and maintain a gaming license.
Must obtain and maintain a Food Handler's Card.
Must obtain and maintain a Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification.
No Driving Responsibilities: Role does not require a driver's license or insurance.

Primary work environment is in a Casino & Resort setting.
Work requires travel to attend meetings, trade shows, and conferences.
Incumbents may be required to work evening, weekend and holiday shifts.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.
Strength sufficient to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects and/or move up to 40 pounds occasionally.
Sedentary work: involves sitting some of the time. Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
Physical activities that apply to the essential functions of the position are balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
Hearing sufficient to hear conversational levels in person, via videoconference and over the telephone.
Speech sufficient to make oneself heard and understood in person, in front of groups, in meetings, via videoconference and over the telephone.
Visual acuity that meets the requirements of the position: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; expansive reading and visual inspection of employees, visitors or facility.
Mobility sufficient to safely move in an office environment, walk, stoop, bend and kneel, and enter, exit and operate a motor vehicle in the course of travel to promotional events, meetings, conferences, trade shows and San Manuel properties.
Endurance sufficient to sit, walk and stand for extended periods, and maintain efficiency throughout the entire work shift and during extended work hours.
The employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles including secondhand smoke.
Must present a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance in accordance with departmental policy.
