Ability to understand and follow instructions in English. Ability to communicate effectively. Must possess and maintain a Food Worker Card in Washington State. Must possess and maintain a Mandatory Alcohol Server Permit (MAST) Experience waiting tables in a hotel, restaurant, or club with fine dining preferred; will train. Ability to interpret and explain menu, refer or answer questions, coordinate meal service process and understand requests. Ability to work in close cooperation with residents, guests, peers, and supervisors. Requires courtesy, tact, and graciousness. Positive and professional work demeanor required. General Summary:
The Lead Server is responsible for performing the following tasks while also ensuring the server team performs the following tasks for table service in community dining spaces.
Essential Job Duties:
Sets tables and maintains workstations in proper order Takes orders; provides service and requested items both graciously and courteously Clears dishes from tables during and after meal service Answers questions about menu items. Provides meal deliveries to resident homes as directed. Follows lead closing procedures at end of the day. Other Duties:
Maintains a high level of customer service for residents and their guests. Assists with dishwashing and distribution of clean dishes if needed. Maintains safe and sanitary conditions in work areas. Maintains acceptable standards of personal hygiene and complies with department dress code. Completes all assigned cleaning tasks. Attends in-service training and education sessions, as assigned. Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor. Other duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS :
Work is performed indoors. Occasional event service outdoors where you may be exposed to the elements (hot, cold, rain, etc.). Must be able to stand/walk for 100% of the workday. Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 pounds independently, as well as push and pull carts weighing up to 50 pounds independently. Must be able to bend, stoop, reach, and balance frequently throughout the workday. Must be able to see, hear, and speak.
