An AI-powered research platform is seeking a Frontend Engineer to join their rapidly scaling product team. The company builds tools that replace limited surveys and manual interviews with scalable, real-time qualitative insights - powered by cutting-edge LLM technology. With strong momentum, including a recent doubling of revenue and $17M+ in Series A funding, this is an opportunity to help define a new category in research software.

As a Frontend Engineer, you will build responsive, production-grade applications that power AI-driven research experiences. You'll operate with autonomy, collaborate closely with a small team, and grow into technical leadership as the company scales. What You'll Do Build and maintain performant, user-facing features using React, Next.js, and TypeScript Integrate frontend with RESTful and GraphQL APIs Apply UX/UI best practices to deliver seamless user experiences Participate in product discussions, helping shape the technical and functional direction Optimize for performance and maintainability in a fast-paced environment Ideal Background 3-10 years of experience in frontend or full-stack software engineering Experience building scalable, high-quality web applications in a startup or high-growth environment Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and (ideally) Next.js Experience integrating with APIs and real-time data systems Personal projects, founder experience, or other signals of initiative Familiarity with real-time data visualization, WebRTC, or frontend performance tuning is a plus Education is not a factor - emphasis is placed on practical experience and contributions What You'll Need Comfort operating without detailed specs or rigid project management Drive to move quickly and ship quality code Collaborative mindset and desire to work closely with a small, highly motivated team A strong product sense and ability to make thoughtful technical tradeoffs Nice-to-Have Prior experience at high-caliber engineering environments (e.g., modern SaaS or developer tools companies) Demonstrated impact in ambiguous or early-stage environments Contributions to open source or public engineering projects Additional Details On-site role based in downtown San Francisco (team is in-office 4-5 days/week) Visa sponsorship is
