Requirements

Pastry Assistant Job Requirements:

Must be able to accurately weigh, sift, measure, and mix baking ingredients. Be able to adhere to recipes. Must be knowledgeable in bread and standard pastry items such as: ice creams, cakes, chocolate, and various pastry techniques. Must have at least 3 years of pastry experience. Must be able to lift over 50 lbs. Must have basic bakery skills and a good understanding of bakery terminology, as well as baker's math. Ability to perform effectively under conditions of fluctuating workload. Ability to interact in a team based environment. Ability to complete orders quickly. ServSafe is a plus, as well as previous experience in a high-volume bakery or restaurant setting.
