Paint - Painter
Summary:
The Painter will have experience working on historic buildings and be proficient in a wide range of painting and surface preparation techniques, including plaster work, drywall repair, fine finishing and spackling. Must also help preserve the aesthetic and structural integrity of our club through quality interior and exterior painting.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
and other duties as may be assigned related to this position.
Prepare surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, patching, spackling, and priming.
Perform interior and exterior painting using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.
Repair and restore plaster walls and ceilings, including working and traditional materials.
Conduct drywall repairs and finish work as needed.
Execute fine finishing techniques on woodwork, cabinetry, and trim.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment, ensuring proper protection of club property during projects.
Climb ladders and work at heights safely to access walls, ceilings, and building exteriors.
Follow all safety procedures and guidelines for material handling, ventilation, and personal protective equipment.
Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding project scope, progress and completion.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of 3-5 years of professional painting experience, preferably in historic or high-end properties. Strong knowledge of plaster repair and traditional finishing techniques. Proficient in the use of brushes, rollers and spray equipment. Ability to work independently or as part of a team. Comfortable working on ladders and in elevated areas.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Valid Driver's License. Experience working on historical buildings or private clubs, familiarity with VOC compliance and environmentally safe practices, and knowledge of color matching and specialty coatings preferred.
