Job Title Events Student Coordinator

Job Summary
Events Student Coordinators play a crucial role in assisting staff with daily office functions and campus-wide events. Students have the opportunity to work during office hours (M-F 8:30am-4:30pm), weekends and evenings as needed, or on-call throughout the school year. Evaluation is based on punctuality, ability to follow instructions, willingness to learn, and work ethic. University Events is currently hiring student employees to begin working this fall and continue working into the spring semester. Position may also offer on-call shifts depending on availability of office shifts.
Core Duties Assisting with Daily Office Functions : Including but not limited to, answering phone calls, assisting clients, completing bookings through our online reservation system, creating event diagrams, taking office inventory, and other miscellaneous office duties. Assisting with Event Productions:
Moving tables, chairs, and other equipment to set up and breakdown spaces for events. Also includes setting signage and decorations. Providing Excellent Customer Service:
Interacting with guests, attendees, and participants in a courteous, friendly, and professional manner, ensuring a positive experience for all involved in campus events. Being a Great Team Player:
Collaborating effectively with other team members to accomplish tasks efficiently and contribute to a positive and cohesive work environment. Other relevant duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications
Reliable and punctual. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Willingness to work outdoors and in various weather conditions. Tech savvy. Proven ability to remain calm in stressful situations. Excellent customer service skills. Willingness to learn. Close attention to detail. Creative problem solver. Preferred Qualifications
Previous customer service or event support experience is preferred but not required. Driver's License for golf carts. Physical Requirements
Ability to lift heavy objects (e.g., tables, chairs) up to 25 pounds as needed.
