POSITION OVERVIEW

The House Attendant works alongside Room Attendants to provide a clean and personalized experience for the guests. They assist in cleaning and preparing guest rooms, public spaces, and exterior spaces to hotel standards. They professionally interact with hotel guests and support the team to reach common goals.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, service procedures, and standards. Maintain positive guest and resident relations at all times. Collaborate with all departments and communicate through GXP. Resolve guest complaints to ensure guest satisfaction. Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas. Assist Room Attendants to clean and replenish guest bedroom and bathroom areas according to hotel standards. Perform tasks including, but not limited to, dusting and polishing furniture and fixtures, vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, shampooing carpets, washing windows, cleaning/waxing floors, removing and disposing of trash, stocking and transporting operating supplies, sort and stock linen and terry. Deliver requested items to guest rooms promptly and courteously. Complete accurately, and in a timely manner, any assigned work. Maintain cleanliness levels in public areas of the hotel including guest hallways and housekeeping closets. Assist Room Attendants with carrying loads of linen, terry, and trash. Maintain stock of cleaning supplies. Report any defects to the corresponding areas responsible. Maintain complete knowledge of equipment and use only as intended. Maintain a professional and personable appearance at all times, according to hotel standards. Maintain a professional and personable appearance at all times, according to hotel standards. QUALIFICATIONS

Previous housekeeping experience or equivalent training required. Good reading, writing, and oral proficiency in the English language. Must be able to perform job functions with attention to detail and speed and accuracy with the ability to remain calm and resolve problems using good judgement. Ability to work effectively with co-workers as part of a team and with minimal supervision. Flexibility to work a varied schedule, which may include weekends and holidays. Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds on own and up to 100 pounds with assistance. Ability to stand and walk for entire shift. Requires writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability, and visual acuity.
