Position Summary
The Food Service Worker is responsible for preparing and/or building food items while providing customer service and adhering to food safety, food handling, and sanitation procedures. In addition to accurately processing retail merchandise transactions, maintaining the balance of the cash drawer. Essential functions and responsibilities of the position may vary by O'Hare Joint Venture 2 location based on business needs.
Essential Functions Prepares and builds food items according to standardized recipes and directions Properly stores food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures Sets up workstations including prep tables, service counters, hot wells, steam tables, etc. Breaks down, cleans, and sanitizes workstations Count, organize, and balance cash drawer; fill out the cashier slip; and make deposits Serves food to customers while ensuring guest satisfaction and anticipating the customers' needs Replenishes food items and ensure product is stocked to appropriate levels Maintains excellent customer service and positive attitude towards guest, customers, and co- workers, etc. Operates a register and handles cash and credit card transactions Adheres to safety policies and procedures including proper food safety and sanitation Ensures security of company asset Operates register, handles cash, and process credit card transactions Other duties and tasks as assigned by manager LIFTING REQUIREMENTS:

Qualifications • Previous food service experience preferred • Must be able to obtain food safety certification • Previous cash handling experience preferred • Basic math and counting skills required • Demonstrates interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal • Must be able to work independently with limited supervision • Requires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of up to 25 lbs.
