Talascend is currently seeking a Labor Relations Representative for an opportunity
with our client in Toledo, Ohio.
OVERVIEW
You will identify and drive operating efficiencies through contractual agreements, provide labor relations support to employees and leaders across the organization, and enable a positive workplace culture and environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES Equitable administration of the collective agreement including grievance administration, interpretation and overall compliance Facilitating effective management/union relations Administration of attendance program Administration and discipline assessment Run attendance reports and gather information to compile into presentations with trend analysis EEOC and other workplace investigations Coaching, guiding and providing direction to operating management on assigned shift Implementation of lean manufacturing activities QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Industrial Relations or related field 2+ years of experience in Human Resources with an emphasis in labor relations in a manufacturing setting Interpretation and application of contracts and agreements Management of compliance and investigatory processes within a union environment Facilitation or participation in difficult interactions or situations, focusing on conflict resolution Analyzing data and using data to make decisions Customer focus mindset, always striving to provide the best support to the employees, management, and the union, while ensuring the continued sustainability Focus on building and maintaining relationships with all stakeholders (management and union) through open and transparent communication Openness to the viewpoints of others and taking those viewpoints into account when making business decisions or recommendations Attention to detail and consistent follow through Proficient with Microsoft Suite Knowledge of Human Resources Information System and reporting tools Experience working in a lean manufacturing environment
SHIFT Willingness and ability to work onsite rotating shifts including nights, weekends and occasional holidays.
