Position Purpose The Part-Time Custodian is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and safe showroom environment that reflects the professionalism and quality of the company. This role includes routine cleaning tasks, minor maintenance duties, and ensuring the showroom is always presentable for customers and staff.

Duties and Responsibilities • Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, offices, and public showroom areas. • Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust floors, rugs, walls, windows, and furniture. • Collect and dispose of trash and recycling from designated bins. • Maintain cleanliness of entrance areas, including glass doors and exterior walkways. • Perform minor maintenance tasks (e.g., changing light bulbs, reporting repair needs). • Restock bathroom and cleaning supplies as needed. • Clean up spills promptly to prevent hazards. • Ensure cleaning equipment is properly maintained and stored. • Support occasional set-up or tear-down for showroom displays or events.

Knowledges, Skills and Abilities • Knowledge of standard cleaning techniques, equipment, and supplies. • Awareness of safety procedures and proper chemical handling (e.g., SDS guidelines). • Attention to detail to ensure thorough cleaning and presentable showroom condition. • Ability to work independently and follow verbal and written instructions. • Time management skills to complete tasks efficiently during off-peak hours. • Customer service awareness when interacting with customers and staff in the showroom. • Basic understanding of facility maintenance is a plus.

Education, Qualifications, Licensing Requirements High school diploma. GED, or equivalent.

Management Preference

Previous custodial or janitorial experience preferred. Basic mechanical aptitude is a plus.

Working Conditions Indoor and occasional outdoor work (e.g., entryways or minor exterior cleaning). Exposure to cleaning chemicals and solutions (with PPE provided). Working during non-business hours (early morning, evening, or weekend shifts), as needed. Occasional interaction with customers and employees during shifts.

Physical requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and climb for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds. Manual dexterity to operate cleaning tools and equipment. Visual and auditory ability to identify hazards and communicate clearly.
