The Sanitation Worker is responsible for maintaining cleanliness in the Shipping and Production areas, as well as the upkeep of the Plant grounds. This role requires the proper use of cleaning chemicals, agents, and specialized equipment in accordance with all safety policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Operates assigned cleaning equipment - including power scrubbers and foamers - and utilizes appropriate chemicals to clean and sanitize designated areas within the facility Performs thorough cleaning tasks, including washing walls, ceilings, floors, drains, piping, and various equipment throughout the processing plant, warehouse, and storage areas Cleans the exterior surfaces of all machinery, equipment, and tanks as part of routine sanitation procedures Maintains supply levels in designated areas; refills dispensers and stocks cleaning materials as needed Removes trash, recycling, and other debris to promote a clean and hazard-free workplace Monitors work areas for potential safety hazards and promptly notifies leadership of any issues; takes immediate action to address hazards as directed Adheres to all GMPs, safety protocols, and health regulations, including proper use of PPE Supports special cleaning projects as needed and performs other related duties as assigned Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled BASIC REQUIREMENTS

High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required Ability to perform basic math functions Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions, including cleaning procedures and safety guidelines Prior experience in sanitation, food manufacturing, or chemical handling is preferred Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness and safety standards COMPETENCIES

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee must be able to reach, bend, extend, and lift 50-60 pounds. It also requires reaching and handling dairy products and pushing and pulling stacks of products weighing up to 200lbs.

The work environment may require working in the cooler room with varying degrees of temperature and may include contact with water or dairy liquids. Exposed to a noise level of 90 decibels. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate/high. Wet/slippery work conditions.
