Position Summary:
Delaware Valley University (DelVal) is seeking a dynamic, donor-centric, and goal-oriented
Annual Leadership Gift Officer (ALGO)
to join our growing Development and Alumni Affairs team during an exciting and pivotal moment in the University's history. With the University preparing to launch a
comprehensive fundraising campaign , this role is critical to building a strong pipeline of annual donors who can support current priorities and grow into major gift supporters.
The ALGO will focus on identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding gifts between
$1,000 and
$25,000 , helping to strengthen DelVal's culture of philanthropy and alumni engagement. This individual will be responsible for advancing the University's mission by inspiring annual leadership support from alumni, parents, faculty, staff, and friends.

comprehensive fundraising campaign -the most ambitious in its history-focused on expanding scholarship support, enhancing academic excellence, investing in innovative facilities, and ensuring long-term institutional sustainability. The Annual Leadership Gift Officer will play a key role in cultivating early campaign support and building momentum.
Key Responsibilities: Manage a portfolio of
200-300 leadership annual giving prospects , focusing on personal outreach, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship. Solicit annual leadership gifts of
$1,000-$25,000 , with a goal of
150
asks. Achieve an annual fundraising target of
$250,000-$400,000
from assigned prospects. Conduct a minimum of
20-30 substantive donor contacts per month , through in-person meetings, virtual visits, phone calls, or personalized correspondence. Develop and execute individual solicitation strategies aligned with donor interests and University priorities. Partner with colleagues in major gifts, annual giving, alumni engagement, and advancement services to ensure coordinated efforts and high-quality donor experiences. Help identify and qualify
10-15 potential major and planned giving prospects
annually for pipeline development. Support campaign priorities by presenting compelling cases for support aligned with the University's strategic plan. Maintain accurate and timely records of donor interactions and activity in the CRM (e.g., Raiser's Edge NXT). Assist in planning and attending alumni and donor engagement events both on and off campus. Promote giving society membership, particularly the
1896 Society , recognizing donors who provide leadership annual support. Performance Metrics & Benchmarks:

Minimum of 10-15 major/planned giving referrals per year Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university 2-4 years of experience in fundraising, sales, or a donor/client-facing role Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding revenue or fundraising goals Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build authentic relationships Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and travel locally and regionally Proficiency with CRM/database systems and Microsoft Office suite Preferred:
Experience in a higher education fundraising environment Familiarity with Raiser's Edge NXT or comparable fundraising software Understanding of donor lifecycle management and campaign fundraising Comfort discussing philanthropic impact and gift designation with donors Core Competencies:
