This full-time, permanent position as a Mechanical Design Engineer offers a unique opportunity to engage in detailed, custom 3D SolidWorks designs for a diverse range of customers in the biotechnology, food, and pharmaceutical industries. Salary:
$50,000 to $70,000 per year
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Develop detailed, custom 3D SolidWorks drawings specific to sanitary piping systems for various client requirements in the biotechnology, food, and pharmaceutical sectors. Collaborate with project managers and project engineers to translate project needs into detailed design specifications and documentation. Generate and maintain accurate bills of materials to support project requirements and cost estimation. Assist in project management tasks such as scheduling, tracking, and quality control of engineering projects. Provide technical support and guidance on engineering matters related to design, integration, and implementation of mechanical components as needed. Minimum Position Qualifications:
1+ year of hands-on 3D SolidWorks design experience, particularly with sanitary piping in relevant industries such as biotechnology, food, or pharmaceuticals. A bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, or equivalent additional years of experience in 3D design. Excellent ability to work collaboratively and effectively communicate technical information with project teams. Proven track record showing stability and growth in previous engineering roles. Must be a US citizen or current Green Card holder. Must reside within 45 minutes of the Whitewater, Wisconsin area or be willing to relocate without assistance. Preferred Qualifications:
Project management experience or related skills in the oversight of engineering projects. Advanced certification or training in SolidWorks or related CAD software. Experience in fluid mechanics and electrical control systems within design environments. Skills:
Demonstrated proficiency in 3D CAD modeling, particularly SolidWorks. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities specific to mechanical and structural design challenges. Effective interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate across departments and with clients.
