Main Function:

The Internet Manager will report directly to the General Sales Manager of the dealership with oversight from the General Manager. The Internet Manager is responsible to successfully lead the Internet department to attain the forecasts and goals that are set by the dealership management team. These forecasts and goals are to be tracked daily as well as the activities that are vital to the success of the department. This multi-faceted role includes, but is not limited to training, scheduling, payroll, and continuing education.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Working with the Internet department salespeople ensuring that the goals of volume, gross profit and CSI are met. Develop and structure a team of BDC and Internet Sales Associates to properly follow up on all Internet and Phone opportunities. Review team structure to ensure the maximization of all opportunities. Monitor call and email volume per BDC agents are meeting expectations using the guidelines of # calls pe rday and # emails per day. Keeping the dealership website up to date with current specifications, offers, incentives and availability of both new and used inventory. Managing internet and phone leads, responding to inquiries in a timely manner and answering questions on available vehicles. Develop and communicate a monthly departmental forecast for volume and gross profit. Develop a digital advertising strategy to generate the number of leads needed to attain the forecast. Assist the departmental salespeople in scheduling appointments and confirming the scheduled appointments. Measuring the number of appointments, confirmed appointments shows and sold units. Our goal is a 25% appointment ratio on all good internet leads with a 60% appointment to sold ratio for an overall closing ratio of 15% as our goal. Assist in disclosing the terms of the sale with customers and early introduction when customer arrives. Assisting salespeople in delivery process to promote efficiency. Create tracking reports for the Internet team (Sales log, Performance evaluation per team member, Lead source, ROI by provider, Email capture, Average response time, Phone Ninja score report and any other report that is necessary to the operation of the department) Review Incoming Call Volume to insure BDC and Internet associate are properly logging all Phone Opportunities.
