Job Description
AZZ has an opportunity for a Powder Coat Painter at our Terrell Texas facility. Reporting to the Operations Manager you will be responsible for preparing, applying, and inspecting powder coatings on metal products to ensure a durable, high-quality finish. This role involves working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, operating specialized equipment, and maintaining strict adherence to safety and quality standards.
Duties and Responsibilities Prepare metal surfaces for coating, including cleaning, sanding, masking, and applying pretreatment chemicals. Apply powder coatings using electrostatic spray guns in a controlled booth environment. Operate curing ovens and monitor temperature and time settings to ensure proper curing of coatings. Inspect finished products for uniformity, coverage, and adherence to specifications. Maintain and clean powder coating equipment and work areas. Mix and match powder colors according to customer or production specifications. Work closely with quality control and production teams to meet deadlines and standards. Follow all safety procedures and wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE). Qualifications
2-3 years of powder coating experience required Familiarity with powder coating equipment and processes. Ability to read and interpret job instructions, blueprints, and safety data sheets. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in a manufacturing environment. Minimum Education
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
