ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Must have a valid State of Michigan Elementary Teaching Certification
Must be responsive to supervision and committed to continuous improvement.
Must have the ability to lift a minimum of 75 pounds.
Must satisfactorily pass:
Must receive a satisfactory response to the P.A. 189 letter (Misconduct Law).

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Provide and utilize instructional plans, strategies, methods, materials, and techniques that best meet the needs of individual students and are congruent with Michigan State standards and the ethics of the profession.
- Meet with parents on scheduled conference days, by phone or any other form of communication, etc., to discuss their student's educational needs.
- Participates in teacher training, conferences, and workshops as required.
- Maintain confidentiality of ALL students, parents, guardians, and staff information.
- Builds strong relationships and has a positive attitude working with students, parents, other staff members, and community members who visit Carrollton Public Schools facilities or programs, and positively represent the district.
- Willingness to improve and grow as an individual teacher and align with the District and School Improvement Plans.
- Familiar with Assertive Discipline and willing to provide behavioral modification when needed to ensure a safe environment for students at all times.
- Uses data to personalize learning
- Designs engaging, collaborative, and inclusive learning experiences
- Fosters student voice, agency, and ownership
- All other duties as assigned.
Must have a valid State of Michigan Elementary Teaching Certification
- Endorsements in upper elementary grades and subject-area specialization preferred.
- Skilled at fostering student agency, voice, and ownership of learning

- Willingness to engage in professional learning, peer feedback, and continuous self-reflection to grow practices.
