Part-Time Music Teacher (Fridays Only)
St. Thomas More is seeking a faith-filled, energetic part-time Music Teacher to join our school family. This position is one day per week, on Fridays only, making it a perfect opportunity for a retired music educator, parish musician, or private music tutor looking to share their love of music in a joyful, faith-based school community.

Our small class sizes and supportive staff create an ideal environment to inspire students with the beauty and joy of music.

Position Highlights:

• Teach general music classes to students in grades Pre-K through 8
• Introduce students to rhythm, melody, instruments, and basic music theory
• Prepare students for simple performances or prayer services throughout the year
• Collaborate with our faculty to integrate music into the liturgical and Catholic life of the school
• Teach on-site Fridays only during the school day

Ideal Candidate:

• Has experience teaching music to children or leading music in a parish or school setting
• Holds a teaching license, degree in music education, or equivalent experience
• Is a practicing Catholic who values the role of music in worship and learning
• Brings enthusiasm, flexibility, and a heart for children

Requirements

Qualifications Profile

• Possess a Bachelor's Degree (Education/math/science) and/or PEL with appropriate endorsement(s).
• Understanding and experience with curriculum design, planning, and instruction.
• Strong communication skills (written and oral) and a mature approach to conflict with excellent classroom management skills. Previous high school teaching experience strongly preferred.
• Must be able to complete fingerprinting and background checks.
• Must complete the Safe Environment protocol upon being hired.
